Comprehensive Clinical Overview and Scientific Validation of the RESTORIA Device
This study details the clinical investigation and observed efficacy of the RESTORIA device, a novel approach to targeted muscle engagement, with a primary focus on pelvic floor training. The device's utility was assessed across various muscle groups using Electromyography (EMG) studies, which validated its unique, non-invasive method achieving significant pelvic floor muscle activity.
Clinical Validation Statement
The following statement certifies the professional execution and adherence to diagnostic standards of the electromyography studies performed using the RESTORIA device:
This is to certify that I, Heather Hershberger, ARNP, with specialty in pelvic floor training and with license in the state of Florida, performed electromyography studies (EMG) on three (3) patients using Restoria’s device, on July 29th, 2022.
These studies follow the required standards of diagnosis.

Electromyography (EMG) Study: Pelvic Floor Muscle Activities During the RESTORIA Exercise
Pelvic floor muscle strength is essential for the overall well-being of both females and males, playing a critical role in routine daily activities. Adequate strength in this musculature is vital for the control of urinary bladder function, bowel control, and sexual activities.
Historically, exercises available for strengthening the pelvic floor musculature have been few, often described as invasive and uncomfortable to perform. There has been a significant need to invent a new method that can achieve maximum benefits for these muscles while being noninvasive, non-cumbersome, and enjoyable to perform.
This study was conducted to demonstrate the effect of the new RESTORIA exercise, which is hypothesized to engage the pelvic floor muscles to a greater extent than other currently available exercise devices, all while being a noninvasive and engaging activity.
Methods
EMG (Electromyography), an investigative test that measures the coordinated activity of muscles in any chosen part of the human body, was utilized for this study.
- Device: A PROMETHEUS MR 20 DUAL CHANNEL EMG testing device was used.
- Application: Two sensors (electrodes) were attached to the perineal area to allow for the precise recording of the pelvic muscle contractions and activities while the patients performed the RESTORIA exercise.
Results
The EMG data demonstrated a clear, measurable, and significant impact. As shown in the comparison of muscle activity, a significant increase in coordinated muscle activity was observed:
- Figures 1 and 3 (Noted in the original study) illustrate the distinct difference between the pelvic floor muscles at rest and the muscles while performing exercises on the device.
- Figures 2 and 4 (Noted in the original study) served as control readings.
The studies showed the extent of coordinated and effective contracture of the targeted pelvic floor muscles when exercises were performed using the device
Conclusion
The exercises provide an effective and noninvasive way of targeting the pelvic floor muscles in a manner that was previously unavailable.
Potential benefits that can be achieved through this unique exercise method include:
- Improvement in stress incontinence in females.
- Improvement in sexual function in both females and males
